ANTISPASMODIC, PAIN RELIEVER, STOMACH, AND INTESTINAL ULCERS Atrovet sulfate is used for the following conditions: Control excessive bronchial & gastric secretions, hypermotility of intestinal smooth muscle, and excessive salivation as an antidote for organophosphate (insecticides) or muscarinic mushroom intoxication, pre-anesthetic to prevent or reduce the accumulation of salivary and bronchial secretions in the respiratory tract. For treatment of bronchoconstrictive diseases to prevent bradycardia (slowing of heart rate), prevent accumulation of salivary secretion during anesthesia and surgical manipulation.   

Atropine sulfate…………………..100 mg

Excipient (distilled water) qs……..100 ml

Intramuscular (IM) injection use only:

Pre-anesthesia:

-Dog, cat: 1 ml/25 kg body weight subcutaneously.

-Sheep/goat: 1 ml/5 kg body weight intravenously.

Treatment:

-Cattle/horse: 1.5-3.0 ml/50 kg body weight.

-Sheep/goat: 0.8-1.6 ml/10 kg body weight.

-Dog/cat: 0.3-0.5 ml/10 kg body weight.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

For meat: 14 days

For milk: 03 days

CONTRAINDICATION:

Animals with gastroparesis, prostatic hypertrophy, pyloric stenosis, and myasthenia gravis.

Animals have diarrhea due to toxins, fever, heart failure, liver failure, and kidney failure. Animals with glaucoma.

Young animals are very sensitive to anticholinergic drugs, so prolonged use in mother animals during lactation should be avoided.
