Indications

Albendazole is a synthetic anthelmintic which belongs to the group of benzimidazole-derivatives with activity against a broad range of worms and at a higher dosage level also against adult stages of liver fluke.

Active Ingredients

Albendazole…………………………………2,500 mg

Excipient (starch) qs………………………………….1 tablet

Dosage

Prophylaxis and treatment of worm infections in cattle and calves like:

Gastrointestinal worms: Bunostomum spp., Cooperia spp., Chabertia spp., Haemonchus spp., Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Ostertagia spp., Strongyloides spp. and Trichostrongylus spp.

Lungworms: Dictyocaulus viviparus and D. filaria.

Tapeworms: Monieza spp.

Liver fluke: adult Fasciola hepatica.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

For oral administration.

Cattle and calves: 1 tablet per 300 kg body weight.

For liver fluke: 1 tablet per 250 kg body weight.

 

Precautions

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Administration to ewes and cattle during early pregnancy (the first 45 days). Use in lactating animals whose milk is to be used for human consumption

Storage

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

– For meat: 12 days.
